Below is a description of what we collect and why.

- Source: Collected directly from you.
- Shared with: Shopify, our payment processors, and our shipping and fulfillment partners.
- Information collected: Name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number.

Sharing Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with service providers who help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:
- We use Shopify to power our online store. You can read about how Shopify uses Personal Information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
- We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Behavioural Advertising
We may use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.
For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative's educational page at https://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.
You can opt out of targeted advertising through the following links:
- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads
- Google: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/anonymous
- Bing: https://advertise.bingads.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/policies/personalized-ads
Additionally, you can opt out of some of these services through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out portal at https://optout.aboutads.info/.
Using Personal Information
We use your Personal Information to provide our services to you, which includes offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfilling your order, and — where you've chosen to hear from us — keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers.
Retention
When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase it. For more information on your right of erasure, please see the "Your Rights" section below.
Automatic Decision-Making
We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.
Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud, which does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you. These services include:
- A temporary blacklist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions, which persists for a small number of hours.
- A temporary blacklist of credit cards associated with blacklisted IP addresses, which persists for a small number of days.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact us at shop@leeliss.com.
California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a resident of California, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you (also known as the "Right to Know"), to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or erased. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email above. If you would like to designate an authorized agent to submit these requests on your behalf, please contact us at the same address.
Cookies
A cookie is a small amount of information downloaded to your computer or device when you visit our Site. We use a number of different cookies — including functional, performance, advertising, and analytics cookies. Cookies improve your browsing experience by allowing the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login and region selection), so you don't have to re-enter this information each time you return or move between pages. Cookies also help us understand how people use the website.
The cookies we use are primarily provided by Shopify, our e-commerce platform, and support core store functions (such as checkout and shopping cart), as well as reporting and analytics. A current and complete list of the cookies Shopify uses on merchant storefronts is available here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies.
The length of time a cookie remains on your device depends on whether it is a "persistent" or "session" cookie. Session cookies last until you stop browsing; persistent cookies last until they expire or are deleted. Most cookies we use are persistent and expire between 30 minutes and two years from the date they're downloaded.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can choose whether to accept them through your browser's settings, usually found in the "Tools" or "Preferences" menu. Please keep in mind that removing or blocking cookies can negatively impact your experience, and parts of our website may no longer be fully accessible. Guidance on managing cookies is available in your browser's help file or at sites such as www.allaboutcookies.org.
Do Not Track
Because there is no consistent industry standard for how to respond to "Do Not Track" signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
Complaints
If you would like to make a complaint, please contact us by email at shop@leeliss.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Decisions I Made — and Things You Should Confirm
This template had a lot of conditional sections. Here's what I did and why, so you can adjust:
Branding and contact — Changed "shophosttoperfection.com" to shopleeliss.com, "Host to Perfection, LLC" references and the email to shop@leeliss.com. I removed the mailing address entirely to match what you did with the Terms of Service. Note: the original Privacy Policy did list your Greenwich address. Privacy policies sometimes include a physical contact address for legal requests — if you'd rather keep it, tell me and I'll add it back.
Europe / GDPR sections — I removed them. The template had GDPR "Lawful basis," EEA data-transfer, and EU-specific rights sections. Since you ship only to the US and Canada, you don't have EU customers, so these don't apply. If you ever add the UK or EU as a market, that GDPR language needs to come back — flag me then.
CCPA — I kept a simplified "Your Rights" + California section. California is a US state you almost certainly sell to, and CCPA can apply even to smaller businesses. I kept the rights language but removed the "Selling Personal Information" section — that only applies if you formally "sell" data as CCPA defines it. If you use Shopify Audiences or similar ad-targeting tools, that section may actually be required. Do you use Shopify Audiences? If so, tell me and I'll add it back.
Cookies — I condensed the giant cookie table into a short paragraph that links to Shopify's always-current cookie list. The huge table in the original goes stale fast and Shopify maintains the authoritative version. If you'd prefer the full table for completeness, I can paste it back.
Behavioural Advertising — I kept the standard opt-out links (Facebook, Google, Bing). Since you have a Pinterest sales channel and likely run Meta/Google ads, this section is appropriate. If you don't do any advertising or remarketing at all, this section could be trimmed.
Two Questions Before You Publish
- Do you use Shopify Audiences (or any third-party marketing app that tracks buyer activity)? If yes, I should add the "Selling Personal Information / Shopify Audiences" disclosures back — those can be legally required.
- Do you want a mailing address included for privacy/legal requests, or keep it email-only like the Terms?
Answer those and I'll finalize it. As with the other policies — this is a wording cleanup of Shopify's template, not legal advice; the template is reasonable for a small US store.
Want all three policies (Shipping, Refund, Terms, Privacy) bundled into one Word doc you can keep on file?
You said: No, I don't use shopify audiences .
Claude responded: Perfect — then the version I gave you is final as-is.
Perfect — then the version I gave you is final as-is. No Shopify Audiences section needed, and no mailing address. Here's the confirmed, ready-to-publish Privacy Policy:
